Jim Evert for City Council
San Clemente, CA
Thank you San Clemente!
"I look forward to serving you on City Council. I appreciate the trust you have placed in me and I will do my best to make San Clemente an even better place to live, work and play."
- Jim

Many thanks to my supporters:
Orange County Republican Central Committee
Orange County Firefighters Association
San Clemente Chamber of Commerce PAC
Pro North Beach Vision Coalition
...along with the many individuals and community leaders who expressed confidence in me!
As a community we need to be guided by a core set of values. As your representative I will bring the following values to the City Council Chamber:
Honesty and Integrity
I tell it like it is. Communication and trust is the foundation of effective government.
Objectivity
I am not pro or anti-development. Every project needs to stand on its own merits, balancing property rights, quality of life, and what is best for our beautiful "Village by the Sea".
Judgment and Experience
With over 15 years experience on my former Town Council and Planning Board, I have a thorough understanding of City government and managing municipal budgets. I am a strong fiscal conservative and will vigilantly watch how your tax dollars are spent.
I have been and will continue to be a community leader to make San Clemente a better place:
As a proponent of clean beaches and water, I’ve co- coordinated our monthly Rotary Beach Cleanups. I've served on the Ocean Institute Board and Finance Committee. My wife and I have personally sponsored “adopt a classes” to take Las Palmas School kids out on the RV Explorer.
Past President of Rotary; Chairman of Golf Tournament for Laura’s House; Chairman of annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive for Marine families and Family Assistance Ministries.
Dedicated to improving our Library through work with the Friends of the Library. On the Board having served as president for 3 years and actively working on the Library expansion.
Also have been active in the Cabrillo Playhouse Board, SC Art Association, Del Mar Art Walks and First Sunday Art’s and Crafts Fair; Cancer Relay for Life.
